Description
The Master of Social Work Hybrid Program at California State University, Stanislaus prepares students for advanced social work practice with a specialization in integrative clinical practice in health and behavioral health settings. Rooted in the program’s commitment to social change, the curriculum emphasizes critical analysis of social, political, and economic structures and their impact on historically marginalized and economically diverse populations. Students engage in collaborative learning and practicum placements that challenge systems of privilege and oppression while fostering empowerment and community well-being.
Delivered in a flexible hybrid format, the program integrates online coursework with in-person learning to meet diverse scheduling needs. As part of their preparation, students complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised internship (500 per academic year) at social service agencies approved by the MSW Program. Graduates emerge equipped with core practice competencies and the ability to apply an advanced integrative practice approach in work with individuals, families, groups, and communities to promote both personal and collective liberation.
